Abstract

This dataset is mainly constituted of results of:
- on-site measurements of non-conservative physical and chemical parameters such as temperature, electrical conductivity, pH, Redox potential, alkalinity;
- chemical and isotopic analyses performed on 21 natural waters in the BRGM laboratories;
- temperature estimations using several classical and auxiliary geothermometers.

These waters were collected from March 22 to 28, 2018, by BRGM in collaboration with the It...

Data Quality
Absolute uncertainty on the pH measurements was 0.05 pH units and relative uncertainty on the other on-site parameters varied from 5% to 10%, depending on the parameter and the range of measured values. The analytical precision for chemical analysis results is better than  5% for the major species and  10% for the trace elements. The ion balance is always lower than 5%. The absolute uncertainty for the D and 18O values is  0.8‰ and  0.1‰, respectively. The absolute uncertainty for the 18O value of the dissolved sulphate is  0.1‰. The external reproducibility of the 7Li and 11B values is estimated at  0.5 and  0.3‰, respectively, and the in-run precision of the 87Sr/86Sr ratio is better than  10 x 10-6 (2m). The absolute accuracy on the temperature estimations using geothermometers is  20°C.
Supplemental Information

Collection of the thermal and geothermal water samples from the Los Humeros and Acoculco areas in the field was accompanied by appropriate on-site measuremen...
